“Most non-OEM Cartridges sold in the EU are non-compliant with EU Regulations and are therefore illegal” – so says ETIRA.
The proposed acquisition of Lexmark by Xerox is not the only news last month with market disrupting impact. Here in Europe, the Trade Association representing independent toner cartridge manufacturing (ETIRA) announced results of an investigation it recently completed. It says most of the toner cartridges coming into the EU from outside are not complaint with EU Regulations and therefore are illegal.
